What Is Aviation Aluminum Foil

Aviation aluminum foil is the aluminum foil used to make airline foil container.
Aviation aluminum foil pans are generally made of 8011 or 3003 alloy aluminum foil through one-time punching and mold stamping. They have a certain hardness, are affordable, are disposable, have excellent heat transfer properties, and can meet the needs of short flights and rapid heating. It can be heated directly on the original packaging using kitchen utensils such as ovens, microwave ovens, and steamers. It is easy to use, safe, hygienic, has no odor, and does not leak.

Production Standards and Requirements

  • Raw material selection and quality: Aviation aluminum foil trays usually use high-purity aluminum alloy as raw material. The thickness of the aluminum foil is customized according to the requirements of the airline, generally between 0.03-0.06mm.
  • Sizes and requirements: Aviation foil containers come with foil lids and medium capacity. Common capacities range from 320ml, 350ml, and 500ml. The size and shape meet airline requirements and are suitable for in-flight food service.
  • Structural and performance requirements: The aviation lunch box has a stable structure, smooth surface and bottom, tight connection between the lid and the bottom, good sealing, easy opening and closing, and will not cause food leakage.
  • Food safety: The quality of aluminum foil complies with relevant laws and regulations for food contact materials, such as FDA. Hygiene requirements are followed during the production process, and the lunch boxes do not release harmful substances such as heavy metals and organic compounds.

Airline Grade Foil Container Type

Aviation aluminum foil lunch boxes can be divided into two types in appearance: plain foil lunch boxes and coated aluminum foil lunch boxes.

The thickness of wrinkled airline foil lunch boxes, which are directly stamped from light foil, is generally 0.06~0.07mm, and they are cost-effective.

Coated aluminum foil lunch boxes, thickness is generally 0.08~0.09mm. The coating material is a food-grade resin coating. The colored coating is attached to the aluminum foil through high-temperature coating to isolate the aluminum foil from the air and avoid oxidation and blackening of the aluminum foil. This foil lunch box is more beautiful and elegant. Therefore, most airlines use this coated aluminum foil box to provide meals to passengers.

Airline Aluminium Foil Lunch Box Advantages

Thermal insulation: Aluminum foil itself has good thermal conductivity, and the aviation aluminum foil tray is designed to be nested, which can effectively prevent heat loss and maintain food temperature. It can also avoid excessive conduction of heat and reduce the risk of injury.

Sealing: Aviation aluminum foil lunch boxes are generally equipped with lids, which can effectively seal the container and prevent food from spoiling or leaking. Whether it is high pressure or high altitude, the integrity of lunch boxes and food can be ensured.

Sturdy: The aviation lunch box has a special structural design and sturdy material, which can effectively resist external impacts and ensure that the food is intact.

Convenience: Foil containers are lightweight, compact and can be stacked at will. Even with lids, they can be stacked without taking up space.
